A surreal fusion of chaos and humor, this radiant creature blurs the line between sun and beast. Its fiery tendrils radiate energy, while a grotesquely playful mouth unleashes a dripping tongue into calm teal waters below. The combination of bizarre whimsy and stark contrast evokes a dreamlike tension—at once alien yet strangely familiar. This piece masterfully captures the absurdity of nature’s forms reimagined through a surrealist lens, inviting viewers to embrace their own wild imaginations.
a molten sun uproots itself,
its radiant arms slicked with venom-red polish,
each ray a claw that tears at the air.
Laughter curdles in its jagged maw,
where teeth grind dawn into shards of twilight.
A tongue, swollen with unspent fury,
laps at the azure waters of nothingness,
its tip bleeding crimson ripples.
Roots like veins spill from its stalk,
twisted rivers feeding hunger, not growth.
It stands—a parable of primal craving—
balancing brilliance and brutality,
where beauty sours into menace.
Once, this orb kissed the world awake;
now it devours, slowly, carefully,
its shadow pooling in quiet mockery.
Are we not the same?
Devourers of what sustains us,
licking mirrors to taste reflections,
turning radiance into ruin.
